Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman chaired a session of the Saudi Cabinet in Riyadh on Tuesday and briefed ministers on diplomatic contacts with Malaysia, China, South Korea, Romania and Spain. He also reported his meeting with Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II.
The Cabinet reiterated its rejection of threats to maritime navigation and global energy supplies and called for urgent international action to protect shipping and keep international trade moving. Ministers stressed the importance of applying international law and safeguarding regional security amid continuing challenges.
In a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency, Media Minister Salman Al-Dossary said the Cabinet reviewed the Kingdom’s participation in recent meetings of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the G20, as part of efforts to strengthen multilateral cooperation. Those discussions covered maritime security, energy and food security, international trade and supply chains.
The Cabinet said Saudi Arabia had continued to supply global energy markets reliably despite regional instability, citing long-term investment in infrastructure, storage facilities and supply chains, and its capacity to respond to changing conditions. Ministers also reviewed diplomatic efforts with regional and international partners to strengthen stability, defend the Kingdom’s sovereignty and respond to threats against its security and the safety of its citizens and residents.
