A session in Baku on 22 October presented the results of a feasibility study for the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe Green Energy Corridor. The meeting was held as part of a forum on the project, according to Azerbaijan's Ministry of Energy.
The international engineering and consulting company CESI set out the main findings of its technical and economic study. Andrea Meola, the company's director of global markets and business development, and Filippo Del Grosso, chief energy advisor, described the project's technical parameters, economic indicators and implementation prospects.
The corridor involves Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary. Completion of the feasibility study was described as an important milestone in the project's development.
The findings are meant to support work on a commercial model, an assessment of financing options and preparation for a final investment decision.
